Children (pediatric) patients require different oral dosage forms from adults due to differences in swallowing abilities, taste preferences, and dosage requirements. In general, the pediatric population is not homogeneous, so it requires different formulations depending on the age developmental and clinical state of the patients. Therefore, oral pediatric formulation designs are primarily required focus on the patient age, body size, and swallowing capability of the target population. Several pediatric formulation dosage forms such as, liquid dosage forms, solid dosage forms including mini-tablets, ODT and chewable formulation will be discussed in the presentation. Some of case studies and success stories will be also shared. In addition, the total market $ value for pediatric dosage forms, potential growth in next few years and some hot treatment in pediatrics areas will be discussed in the presentation.
