The design and spray-drying of amorphous formulations for improving the bioavailability of poorly soluble compounds has become a mature technology. Today, a number of commercial products have been launched in human and animal health. This presentation will discuss fundamental formulation and processing considerations for obtaining a high-performing and physically- and chemically-stable amorphous formulation without formulation and process iteration.

Topics will include products, optimized process development and the increased understanding of the impact of excipients, formulation and processing on the performance and stability of amorphous solid dispersions.
