Dr. Stephen Andruski is the Senior Manager of Verification Programs and has primary responsibilities for the Ingredient Verification Programs. This position gives Dr. Andruski the opportunity to combine his synthetic, process and analytical chemistry background, and his knowledge of GMP regulations and quality principles.
Prior to joining USP, Dr. Andruski served in several roles at AMRI in Albany, NY, initially with the Chemical Development group, then with the Analytical Department performing method development, method validation and support of GMP production, eventually leading a group of six analysts at AMRI’s large-scale GMP manufacturing facility in Rensselaer, NY. Prior to that he worked at FMC Corporation, where he performed process R&D on new pesticides, and also wrote the chemistry section of the EPA registration package, prepared the European Tier summaries and led the synthetic work on the preparation of impurities required for the analytical portion of the EPA registration package for a new herbicide.
Dr. Andruski obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Arizona doing a mixture of synthetic and physical organic chemistry on organosulfur compounds, and received his BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
