    Douglas G. Johnson, Ph.D. has almost 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently an independent consultant with and president of OCAM Solutions. Doug Johnson consults in all areas of CMC activities from contractor selection to writing regulatory submissions. Prior to founding OCAM Solutions, Doug Johnson spent over 10 years as Vice President of Manufacturing and Vice President of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Allos Therapeutics where he managed and integrated all outsourced chemistry and manufacturing activities for a virtual company focused on small organic molecules for oncology applications. He is experienced in both drug substance and drug product elements of development. Dr. Johnson has been involved in the preparation of the CMC section for multiple INDs, several NDAs and an NADA (New Animal Drug Application) filing with the Center for Veterinary Medicine which launched this year.

    In addition, Doug Johnson spent over 8 years with Baxter Healthcare. He has extensive experience in formulation, drug development, product support and manufacturing. He has four issued formulation patents, with two resulting in marketed products. Doug has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and did post-doctoral work at the University of Chicago. Doug also worked in the artificial photosynthesis group at Argonne National Laboratory for several years prior to joining Baxter.
