    Julie B. Manley, MPH, CHMM, is President of Guiding Green LLC, a consulting firm founded in 2005 focused on the integration of sustainability into organizations through program management, strategic alliance building, and training. She builds on her 20+ years of industry and consulting experience to develop mutually beneficial relationships between industry, academia, government and others to effectively integrate sustainable solutions into the marketplace. Her consulting experience spans a wide spectrum of products including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cleaning products, adhesives, personal care products, dust suppressants, oil & gas, and more. Prior to founding Guiding Green LLC, Julie held various positions at Abbott Laboratories in the manufacturing and environmental, health & safety organizations including manufacturing optimization, regulatory compliance, and global environmental performance improvement. Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), LEED Green Associate, and Six Sigma Green Belt. Julie is currently Past President of the Michigan Chapter of the Association of Hazardous Materials Professionals. She has co-authored numerous papers on the subject of sustainability and green chemistry in peer reviewed publications, trade journals, chapters, and presented internationally on related subjects.
